This painting is an ode to the many forms of womanhood and the people who have shaped my understanding of what it means to be a woman. Standing back to back, the two figures embody resilience, solidarity, and the quiet strength of those who stand beside us, even when the world asks us to stand alone. Their identities remain fluid, honoring the idea that sisterhood exists beyond labels, blood, or gender, rooted instead in the ways we hold, protect, and learn from one another. In this painting, I honor the women who have modeled the many spectrums of womanhood in my life, those who continue to be my sisters, my mothers, my teachers, and my guides, reminding me that we become ourselves not only through our own journeys, but through the people who walk alongside us.
